Grill Cheese w/ French Salad

Ingredients:

  1. 200 grams vegan cheese for grilling à link to the product
  2. Green salad mix
  3. Vinaigrette

step 1:

  1. Start from making the Vinaigrette:

Ingredients:

  • 2 shallots (only white part)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar or 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil à link to the product
  • 1 tsp agave syrup à link to the product
  • Himalayan salt to tasteà link to the product
  • black pepper to taste

Step by step:

  1. Finely dice the shallots and mince the garlic.
  2. Place into a small container with a tight fitting lid.
  3. Add the olive olive, red wine vinegar, dijon mustard and agave syrup. Add a bit of salt and pepper put on the lid and give it a good shake.
  4. Taste for seasoning and add more to your liking.

Note: You can use this dressing for grilled asparagus too.

step 2:

  1. Wash the green salad mix and dry it in a salad spinner. Store it in the fridge to keep it fresh and crisp.

step 3:

  1. If you buy Violife vegan cheese for grilling, there are two pieces of cheese in the package. Cut each piece in a half creating triangles. So, you will have 4 triangles.
  2. Grill the cheese on high temperature, approx. 200 °C on each side for approx. 3 minutes. This indication is for gas grill.

step 4:

  1. Mix the salad with Vinaigrette and serve with grilled cheese.
